Dr. Schluterman was born and raised right here in the Arkansas River Valley. He is an honors graduate of Subiaco Academy, University of Central Arkansas, and Northeastern State University College of Optometry. During Dr. Schluterman’s doctoral program he received extensive training in every aspect of primary eye care. He furthered his clinical experience by performing rotations that emphasized: diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, treating eye infections, performing minor surgical procedures, performing anterior segment laser surgeries, and surgical co-management of cataract and LASIK patients. Dr. Schluterman also completed a specialty contact lens fitting program at the Vistakon Vision Institute in Jacksonville, Florida, and received an award for clinical excellence in contact lens fitting at the Oklahoma College of Optometry.He is a member of the Arkansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. 

Dr. Schluterman enjoys the outdoors and cheering on the Razorbacks, but most of all spending time with his wife, Rachael, and four kids, Katie, Carter, Max, and Will.
